I confess, it’s time I make a focused commitment to something I encourage my clients to do: blog regularly. There are so many benefits to blogging:
- Provides your customers and readers with new, helpful information that serves them
- Increases your visibility in online search results (especially when paired with good SEO techniques!)
- Positions yourself as the expert and your products as the solution to potential and current customer’s problems
So when I learned about the #Blog Your Brand Challenge being led by Donna Maria of Indie Business Network (IBN) and Stacia Guzzo of Handcrafted Honey Bee, I knew I had to participate. I perform much better with the accountability that comes with a challenge. Knowing that I’ve agreed to post one blog post per day for the next 30 days and have specific tasks I need to do each day to support and promote my blogging lights that fire underneath me to stick with it, pre-plan and implement my content calendar so that no matter how busy I may be, I will complete this challenge.
Not only will my blog be stronger and full of more valuable content for you to read, everyone who completes this challenge receives a year’s membership in Indie Business Network. This is a wonderful organization that I’ve been part of since I first entered the world of handcrafted beauty products back in 1997. One of my blog posts during this challenge will likely be on the many reasons I love and wholeheartedly recommend IBN to others.
